Christmas/Holiday Party: Saturday, December 8, at 12:30 pm
Highlands Golf Course Clubhouse in Forest Park
5163 Clayton Ave

Bring some non-perishable food or household items for donation to the Circle of Concern.

We will order off the menu. We need to give the folks at the clubhouse an idea of how many of us will attend so please respond to Libby Yunger (girlpilot@sbcglobal.net) or Jean Murry (jeanemilym@att.net or 314-469-3541) before Friday, December 7. Yes, Jean now has e-mail – her kids gave her an e-notebook as an early Christmas present!

The Highlands is the new 9-hole golf course in Forest Park. To get to the Highlands Clubhouse, take your favorite route to I-64/US40. Exit at Hampton Ave and go north into Forest Park. Take the first right exit by the traffic circle (Wells Dr.) Stay on Wells Dr to the next traffic circle (near the Jewel Box). Take the first right off the traffic circle toward the Park Security station, the golf course will be on your left. This short road ends at Clayton Ave. Turn left on Clayton Ave keeping the golf course on your left. You will pass holes 1, 2, and 3 before getting to the road (on the left) to the Highlands Clubhouse. The people at the Highlands are very friendly – their phone number is 314-531-7773 if you need a little directional guidance. There have been many changes to the park roads in recent years, so if you haven’t been to Forest Park in awhile, getting around can be a little confusing but the signage tends to be good.

Chapter News:

We will be hosting the Fall North Central Section Meeting in St. Louis next September…actually I’m pushing for late September/early October since I’m not usually here in September. We will need a group of members to work on the planning so that we can get information out to the membership in the Spring. So far Jean Murry, Martha Norman, Vivian Waters and Libby Yunger have volunteered to help with the planning, and we welcome the help of any other members or non-members who would like to participate. I hope we can begin organizing who will do what at the Christmas/Holiday Party.

Carmelo Turdo has asked if the Ninety Nines would like to develop a program for Women in Aviation Week, March 4-10, 2013. I have offered to use some of the items from our Library exhibit for a new exhibit under the Amelia Earhart route map at the GSL Air & Space Museum. Carmelo also suggested that we prepare talks or another type of program. I’ll have need to get together with him to determine where this program would be given and to whom.

Our Chapter library exhibit was at the Maplewood Library in October/November and will be at the Richmond Hts. Library in December. We do not plan to continue with the library exhibit after December, except perhaps for Women in Aviation week next March. Libby Yunger spoke on A Century of Women in Aviation at the Maplewood Library in November. The talk was well-attended, thanks to Bob Kraemer who notified every aviation group in St. Louis. The report of the talk that appeared on the Aeroexperience.com blog site is appended to the Newsletter or can be seen at: http://aeroexperience.blogspot.com/2012/11/women-in-aviation-is-theme-of.html
Ninety Nines News:

Nominations are now open for the Ninety Nines Award of Achievement for Contributions to the Ninety-Nines, for Contributions to Aviation, and for Humanitarian Efforts and for the Award of Merit for non-Ninety Nines and for the George Palmer Putnam Award for non-Ninety Nines. Any Ninety-Nines Chapter, Section or Trust can submit a nomination by January 15, 2013. Submit a one-page letter signed by two officers or trustees including the name, address, and telephone number of the nominee or next-of-kin, if the nominee is deceased. Up to three additional pages of substantiating material may be attached to the letter, which should be sent to International Headquarters in Oklahoma City to the attention of the Awards Committee.

For those of you on Facebook, Minnetta Gardinier sent the following message:

Please consider joining the “North Central Section 99s” Facebook group. It is a networking opportunity for us to spread the word about the 99s, to share our aviation stories and experiences, to advertise our 99s events across the Section, and to perhaps offer/share rides among our group.

Simply search for the site on Facebook – “North Central Section 99s” – and request to join the group. Members may post on the site, as well as upload pictures/videos, and add your Chapter events to the calendar section. Members may also suggest new members to be added, so feel free to do so. In addition to adding other 99s from your Chapters, you might consider adding somebody who might not yet have joined the 99s. It could be a great way to draw them into our organization.

For those, who might not yet have a Facebook account, you can do so easily with an email address. If you wish to keep your personal FB page private, you can do that by marking all the privacy settings to ONLY ME (private). For me, I’ve set my stuff to FRIENDS only, but explore the options, if you’re just getting set up. Finally, all NCS 99s news will continue to be published on the web site and in the Waypoint.

Women in Aviation Is Theme of Presentation at Maplewood, MO Library

By Carmelo Turdo

Libby Yunger, Chairman of the Greater St. Louis Ninety-Nines, recently gave her presentation, "A Century of Women in Aviation," at the Maplewood Public Library in celebration of National Aviation Month. The Ninety-Nines, an international organization of women pilots, was founded in 1929 by the first ninety-nine licensed women pilots including Amelia Earhart. Yunger discussed the contributions of women in aviation from Katharine Wright to the present, focusing on those women who broke barriers by being the "first" in various areas of aviation. Here are some examples: Katharine Wright: Influenced the development of the Wright Flyer, 1903+

E. Lillian Todd: First women aircraft designer, 1910 Therese Peltier: First women to solo in a heavier than air powered aircraft, 1908 Elise Deroche: First women to earn international pilot's license, 1910 Blanche Scott and Bessica Raiche: First American women to solo, 1910 Harriette Quimby: First licensed American woman pilot, 1911; first woman to cross the English Channel, 1912 Ruth Law: First woman to fly non-stop from Chicago to New York, 1916 Bessie Coleman: First black woman to earn international pilot's license, 1921 Women's Air Derby was started in 1929, leading to women's involvement in air racing.

Amelia Earhart, undoubtedly the best marketed woman pilot of all time, was the first woman to: fly the Atlantic Ocean non-stop as a passenger in 1928, fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean in 1932, fly a solo transcontinental round-trip flight also in 1932, fly solo from Hawaii to the U.S. mainland in 1935 and was lost attempting a round-the-world flight in 1937. Yunger commented,"If I ask a group of non-pilots to name a woman pilot - it's Amelia Earhart. I never hear any other name but Amelia Earhart...And I think that's because there's just this mystique: 'What happened to Amelia?'" 75 years later, that question remains unanswered.

Other topics covered included air races with male competitors to the present day; women's service in World War II and subsequent armed conflicts, including combat roles in current conflicts; aerobatic champions including Betty Skelton and Patty Wagstaff, and women astronauts.

This presentation is highly recommend for adult and youth groups of all types. If you would like to arrange for Libby to speak to your organization, contact The Aero Experience at aeroexperience@att.net for more information.

October Meeting: Saturday, October 20, at noon
Chapter Birthday Party and Potluck lunch
Jean Murry’s home, 33 Oakland Hills Dr

Bring your favorite goodie for everyone to share.   If you have any Chapter or aviation memorabilia you would like to share please bring that along as well.

Jean lives in the Four Seasons on the west side of Woods Mill Rd just south of the Dierberg’s shopping center at Olive and Woods Mill.  Exit I-270 at Olive Rd. West.  Go approximately 3 miles and turn south (left) on Woods Mill Rd.  Turn right at the first intersection past the shopping center (Broadmoor Dr) and then left at the first intersection (Oakland Hills Dr.)

I hope all of you have been thinking about ways we can become more visible in the aviation community, particularly to female student pilots.  We will be brainstorming ideas at our Chapter Birthday party. We also will have a Chapter memorial for Jan Pocock, who died on October 2, and for Delia Greer who died on July 23.  Please share your favorite Jan Pocock and/or Delia Greer stories with the rest of the group.  Ruby Fudoli’s son has asked for assistance is finding out more about his parents activities in aviation in the St. Louis Area.  We would like to pass on any information or stories to him.  You can bring information to the Chapter Birthday Party, e-mail information to girlpilot@sbcglobal.net or call Jean Murry at 314-469-3541.

Chapter News:
There will be no meeting in November.  However, Libby Yunger will be speaking on the history of women in aviation at the Maplewood Library on Thursday, November 15, from 7-8 pm.  The Maplewood Library is located at 7550 Lohmeyer Ave, one block north of Manchester between Martini Dr. and Bredell Ave. (behind the Maplewood City Hall and Maplewood-Richmond Hts. High School).  We hope many of our members will be able to attend.

Jean Murry is working on plans for our Christmas luncheon.  If you have a favorite restaurant with a relatively private table for 10-12 people, please contact Jean at 314-469-5341 and she will check it out.

Ruby Fudoli’s son’s request for information about his mother got us thinking that it would be good to have brief biographies of our Chapter members.  Once upon a time Sally Siebe started this project, however, the biographies were lost from our Chapter website.  Rather than writing answers to a series of questions, a strategy that did not work very well when Sally tried it, it might be fun to verbally share with each other highlights our personal aviation history, projects, and triumphs.  Perhaps we can try this at some of our future meetings, and the resulting mini-biographies will be shared in subsequent newsletters as member profiles.

Ninety Nines News:
At the next International Conference, two International Directors and Trustees for the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum, Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund, Endowment Fund, and Museum of Women Pilots will be elected.  Anyone wishing to be a candidate for any of the above position must file an Intent to Seek Election Form by October 31, 2012.  Forms are available in the Library in the Members Area of the Ninety-Nines website:  www.ninety-nines.org.

If any of our members are interested in applying for 2013 Amelia Earhart Scholarships, the Vicki Cruse Memorial Scholarship for Emergency Maneuver Training, or the New Pilot Award, applications must be received by the Chapter by December 1, and by the Section AE Scholarship Chairman by December 15.  Further details are available at www.ninety-nines.org/index/cfm/scholarships.htm

Member News:   As many of you already know, Jan Pocock passed away on Tuesday, October 2   She had been ill for approximately one year prior to her death.  Jan joined the Ninety Nines in 1964 soon after earning her pilot’s license at Arrowhead Airport.  She was a Life Member of the Ninety Nines, past chairman of our Chapter, and long-time Chapter scholarship chairman, administering the Del Scharr Scholarship and helping Chapter members win Amelia Earhart Scholarships from the International organization.  Jan was also a Life Member of the Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum and a long-time member of its Board of Directors.  She was a member of the Gateway Chapter of Missouri Pilots Association.  Several members of Jan’s family were pilots, and she became determined to earn her pilot’s license early in her tenure as a flight dispatcher for Monsanto Corp., a position she held until her retirement in 1985.  Ruth Bohnert, Gussie Freese, Sue Mathias, Jean Murry, Vivian Waters, and Libby Yunger attended Jan’s memorial service at Schrader Funeral Home on Thursday, October 11.  Libby will be preparing a New Horizons article for the 99 News and would like to borrow a flattering black and white or color photograph of Jan that can be scanned for use in the article.  The photo need not be recent, but it needs to be in reasonably good condition.

We are sorry to report that Martha Norman’s sister died of a blood clot following surgery.  Martha is with her sister’s family in Texas and will most likely miss the Chapter Birthday Party.  Her sister had been working on a cookbook that Martha plans to complete as a memorial.  Our Chapter sends its heart-felt condolences to Martha.
If you haven’t yet looked in the September/October issue of 99 News, there is an article on Jean Murry and Delia Greer receiving the Award of Achievement for Humanitarian Efforts on p. 11 and a New Horizons article on Delia on p. 30.

If you know of internship opportunities in education or hospitality, Susan Van Matre would like to hear from you as she completes her for a M.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education Management.  She is looking for internships at colleges or other fun and interesting places in the area for next Spring.  You can contact Susan at slvanmatre@gmail.com .

Aviation News:  A lot of airport Open Houses and aviation events are planned during the next three months:
27 October – Third Annual Airport Day at St. Charles County Airport.  Pumpkin Drop at St.  Charles Flying Service. EAA will have a lunch concessin from 12-5 pm and the  Corvette Club will have vintage and current Corvettes on display.

August Event: Tour of the Space Museum in Bonne Terre, MO
11 AM Saturday, 18 August

The museum is located at 116 East School Street in Bonne Terre. Curator Earl Mullins will be our tour guide. The museum website is: www.space-mo.org. The folks at the museum say there are several good restaurants in Bonne Terre, so we will plan to have lunch in town after the tour. GUESTS ARE WELCOME.
Several of us will meet at Jean Murry’s house in Chesterfield, MO, at 9 am on Saturday to ride together down to Bonne Terre. Jean lives at 33 Oakland Hills Dr. That is in the Four Seasons development on the west side of Woods Mill Rd just south of the Dierberg’s shopping center at Olive and Woods Mill. Some of you would probably prefer to drive to Bonne Terre on your own and you should plan to meet us at the Museum at 11 am. To get to Bonne Terre, go to I-55 south by your favorite route. At Festus, exit I-55 onto US-67 south toward Bonne Terre/Farmington. Exit US-67 onto MO-47 north into Bonne Terre (the road is actually going west, at this point, but it is MO-47 north). After about 0.5 miles, take a slight left onto Park Avenue and at the second intersection turn left onto Fite St. The Museum is at Fite and School St. Bonne Terre is approximately 50 miles south of the I-55/Jefferson Barracks Bridge (I-270) interchange. We need to let the Museum know approximately how many people are coming, so please let Jean Murry (314-469-3541) or Libby Yunger (girlpilot@sbcglobal.net) know if you plan to attend. Also let us know if you will be joining the group that is traveling from Jean’s house so we know to expect you and whether or not we will need a van.

Chapter News:
I received the following e-mail from Keith Mueller: I have a nontraditional career specialist here at SWIC (Amy Markus) who is able to be at Scott on Saturday Sept 15th for sure, possibly also Sunday the 16th. We are trying to promote aviation to the women’s groups and need to have someone here to help us be able to provide information. Scott typically draws more than 50,000 people and this is great opportunity to promote aviation with the women’s groups. SWIC is working with Trans States Airlines to recruit students for training programs and pilot and aviation management personnel for the airline. Definitely want to get more women into the career path.

We are also setting up a safety seminar at Mid America in the late fall, again we are needing representative from the women’s groups, trying to make this a combination safety seminar, young eagles event, fly in, introductory flights, Jr ROTC etc group event. Neither Jean Murry nor Libby Yunger will be available the weekend of 15 September. Is there someone from the Chapter who would like to represent the Ninety Nines at the Scott Open House that weekend? Please contact Keith Mueller directly at keith.Mueller@swic.edu for further information.

I hope all of you have been thinking about ways we can become more visible in the aviation community, particularly to female student pilots. We will be brainstorming ideas at our Chapter Birthday party. The party is tentatively scheduled for September 29 since our chairman will be out of town for most of September and the Chapter anniversary is in September. However, we could skip the September meeting altogether and have our Chapter party at our October meeting on Saturday, October 20. This will be a pot luck luncheon at Jean Murry’s house followed by cake and ice cream and, with luck, some really good ideas. Please let Libby or Jean know which date you would prefer for our Chapter party.

Ninety Nines News:
Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Pilot Choice Award Competition: The Ninety-Nines and the Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund are one of 20 aviation nonprofit finalists in the 2012 Lightspeed Aviation Foundation annual grant competition. The five aviation nonprofits receiving the most votes will receive $10,000 grants. Please have your friends, family and everyone you know vote for The 99s and the Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund at:http://www.lightspeedaviationfoundation.org/content.cfm/Voting/Get-to-know-the-2012-finalists/The-Ninety-Nines.
The North Central Section fall meeting will be in Marquette, Michigan, from 21-23 September.

 Member News:
As many of you already know, Delia Greer left us quite unexpectedly last month. She died on July 23 in her home of a massive stroke just 9 days after she and Jean Murry had received the Ninety Nines award for humanitarian service for their work with Wings of Hope. Our Chapter will be sending a donation to Wings of Hope in her memory. A memorial service is being planned but has not yet been scheduled. I have included with the Newsletter an article on Delia and Jean that appeared in the July 27 issue of Ladue News: (http://www.laduenews.com/living/fly-girls/article_d67e9390-d73a-11e1-919c-001a4bcf6878.html )
For members who receive only the paper copy of the newsletter, I have also included the article on Delia from the St. Louis Business Journal that was included with the e-mail announcement of Delia’s death: http://www.bizjournals.com/stlouis/stories/2006/10/09/focus15.html?page=all

Greater St. Louis Ninety-Nines Newsletter
June 2012
June Ninety Nines Activity
11 am on Saturday, June 16, at the GSL Air & Space Museum on the West Ramp at St. Louis Downtown Airport.

We will be putting together two exhibits to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the disappearance of Amelia Earhart on 2 July 1937. One exhibit will be in the Museum and the other will be in the main terminal. The exhibits will remain in their locations for approximately one year.

We have received on loan many wonderful artifacts for these exhibits
  1. June Tonsing is painting two pictures of Amelia Earhart at the wing of her Electra. One painting will hang in the Museum and the other in the main terminal building.
  2. Libby Yunger has prepared a 6’ x 4’ school map with the routes, stops, and departure dates from each stop.
  3. Jean Murry has lent a silver coin that was made for the Ninety Nines to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Amelia Earhart’s disappearance
  4. Patrice Billings and Brenda Fraser have lent a framed poster of Amelia Earhart’s last flight that was presented to Patrice by the Syracuse NY Zonta, several books including a first edition copy of Last Flight and a recent reprint of The Fun of It by Amelia Earhart, several posters, an Amelia Earhart doll, and several other Amelia-related items.
If anyone has any other artifacts they would like to lend the Ninety Nines for this exhibit please contact Jean Murry at 314-469-3541 or Libby Yunger at girlpilot@sbcglobal.net or alternatively just bring them with you on Saturday.

Since our activity is on the same day as the GSL Air & Space Museum and EAA 64 Open House, hamburgers and perhaps other goodies will be available for lunch at the Museum, or bring a lunch to eat on-site. Information about the Open House is at the following sites: http://airandspacemuseum.org/news/?p=486 http://aeroexperience.blogspot.com/2012/05/eaa-64-and-greater-st-louis-air-space.html

There is good signage to the airport from Illinois Rte 3 or from Exit 15 (Mousette Lane) on I-255. The museum is on the south end of the West Ramp. If you’re coming from Rte 3 follow the airport signs. They will lead you onto Curtiss-Steinberg Dr. Turn right at the 4-way stop sign just past the railroad overpass. If you’re coming from I-255 go straight at the 4-way stop sign at Curtiss-Steinberg Drive. Follow this road around - on your left you will pass several airport businesses, the Parks College hangar, and Ideal Aviation. Turn left at Vector Dr. (the first cross street) and left again into the parking lot by the two historic brick hangars. The GSLASM is in Hangar 2 (the one with the Jetstar parked out front).

Chapter News:
Former Ninety Nine Margaret Barth has invited our Chapter to visit the Space Museum in Bonne Terre, MO. My thought was that we could meet locally at 9 am to travel to Bonne Terre as a group – perhaps rent a van or drive together in one or two cars. After visiting the Museum we could have lunch together in Bonne Terre or stop in Kimmswick at the Blue Owl for a late lunch on the way back. Please let Libby Yunger (girlpilot@sbcglobal.net) or Jean Murry (314-469-3541) know if you would be interested in going to the Space Museum and if you would be willing to drive. If there is enough interest we would plan this day trip for our normal August meeting day, Saturday, August 18.

Ninety Nines News:
The 2012 International Conference of the Ninety Nines will be held 11-15 July in Providence RI. The keynote speaker will be Lt. Col. Chapter News:
I am thrilled to report that Jean Murry and Delia Greer were selected to receive the 2012 Ninety Nines Award of Achievement for Humanitarian Efforts for the work with the Wings of Hope. They will receive this award at the Ninety Nines International Conference in Providence RI in July. We are very grateful to Susan Van Matre for making the effort to nominate these two very deserving members. Her nomination write-up was distributed to all members with the January Newsletter.

For discussion at the April meeting: 2 July 2012 is the 75th anniversary of the disappearance of Amelia Earhart over the Pacific Ocean. The Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum has been approached by the Discovery Channel about a program commemorating this event. While the Museum directors do not know at this time if it will be selected for this program, Carmelo Turdo has asked Ninety Nines to prepare a display on this event for the Museum and to man this display during Fair St. Louis. He suggested that we also give short (10 minute) talks on various aspects of Amelia’s life at the display for Museum visitors. The civilian aircraft in the Fair St. Louis air show will be staging from Downtown Airport and there usually are times when the airport is open to visitors. The Museum hopes to attract some of these visitors to the Museum. Following Fair St. Louis, the display would remain at the museum for at least a year. We will need members to help construct this exhibit and to lend or donate items appropriate for this exhibit. We will also need a few members to man the exhibit for an hour or two during Fair St. Louis.

Gussie Freese reports that the Nominating Committee submitted the following slate of officer candidates for 2012-2013:

Chairman: Libby Yunger

Vice Chairman: Jean Murry

Secretary: Jean Murry

Treasurer: Martha Norman

The Secretary position will actually be shared. Jean will be the official Chapter Secretary and will take the meeting minutes. Libby Yunger will continue as Newsletter Editor, and Mary Kinnaw will continue as Corresponding Secretary.

Member News:
We are sad to report the death of Donald Jay Cates, husband of Chapter member Vikki Cates, while he was delivering an aircraft to the Wings of Hope. He was a long-time pilot for Wings of Hope; Delia Greer had flown with him on Medical Air Transport flights on several occasions. Donald Jay Cates’ obituary is attached to this newsletter. At this time, we are not aware of any plans for a funeral or memorial service. However, memorial donations can be made to the Donald Jay Cates Memorial Fund, 4020 Green Mount Crossing Drive, PMB226, Shiloh, IL 62269. See https://sites.google.com/site/donaldjaycatesmemorialpark for additional information.

On a happier note, Ruby Fudoli has moved to Texas to be closer to her family. She is at the Waterford at Plano assisted living facility, and her address is 3401 Premier Dr., Apt 206, Plano, TX 75032. Her family reports that she is transitioning well to her new home and enjoys visiting with her four great-grandchildren, ages 4-6, with one more on the way in June. She would enjoy receiving cards or notes from her Ninety Nines friends.

January 2012 - Meeting Minutes

Revised Minutes of the May Meeting of the Greater St. Louis Ninety Nines
Saturday, 21 January 2012

Present: Delia Greer, Mary Kinnaw, Sue Mathias, Jean Murry, Libby Yunger, June Tonsing
The meeting held at the Midwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show. The meeting was called to order at 3:20 by Vice Chairman, Jean Murry.

Libby Yunger announced that the Air Race Classic organization had received an application from a Chapter in California for the 2014 Air Race Classic start. Our Chapter was not really prepared to host the 2014 ARC start since Teresa Camp has relocated to Connecticut. None of our current active members has participated in the ARC, and we really don’t have any first-hand knowledge of the expectations of the racers or of the ARC organization. We also decided unanimously that we could not commit to hosting the ARC terminus in 2017, which was the next available ARC start or terminus opportunity.

There was general agreement that our focus should be on recruiting new members so that we have a future as a Chapter. June Tonsing suggested becoming involved with www.faasteamyouth.org

The sale of raffle tickets at the MACTS earned the chapter $126. Jerry Spear and Chuck Masquette won the goody baskets and Steve Bollinger won the bottle of champagne.

The meeting was adjourned 3:45 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Libby Yunger, Secretary

Please plan to attend this meeting. We will need to decide whether or not our Chapter has the resources to host the Air Race Classic start in 2014. Susan Van Matre has nominated Delia Greer and Jean Murry for the 2012 Ninety Nines Award of Achievement for Humanitarian Efforts for their work with the Wings of Hope. A copy of the documentation submitted by Susan is attached. Certainly Delia and Jean are very dedicated workers and deserving of this award. We wish them good luck and hope they are selected for this honor.

Sue Mathias reports: "I'll be the speaker for the Saint Charles' Zontas this Wednesday, January 18. Sort of a milestone for me ... last time was 33 years ago when I reviewed "The Girl In Brown" about Amelia Earhart."

Vivian Waters’ new address is 226 Davidson Dr., St. Peters MO 63376 and her cell phone is 314-603-5612.

We received the following note from Teresa Camp:
Greetings 99s,

Bill and I just wanted to let you know that I have accepted a new assignment with Pratt & Whitney as the Program Manager for the Adaptive Fan Rig, which is an advanced engine development. It means we will be moving to Hartford, CT, and it will happen pretty quickly. Diana is back in Texas and will continue her studies, but she is very supportive of the change. My plans are to start on 30 January. Bill will be coordinating all the move details over the next few months, so we both have our work cut out for us!

Bill, Diana and I all want to thank you for your support over the years. We treasure all the friendships and admire all your accomplishments! This was a tough decision and I’ve lost several nights sleep as I wrestled with the full impact of this decision. Of course it means I have to give up my vision of personally bringing the ARC 2014 to St. Louis, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen without me. That would be something you all will have to decide. Just give it some thought.

While it will be tough to leave St. Louis, we hope to stay in touch. Of course, we would welcome a visit whenever you’re in the area.

My Boeing e-mail and phone will be discontinued at the end of this month, so please use my new personal e-mail account, teresaacamp@hotmail.com.
Best wishes and clear skies!
