Minutes December 13, 2009

Members Present: Jean Murry, Jan Pocock, Vivian Waters, Gussie Freese, Liby Yunger, Delia Greer, Sue Mathias, Mary Kinnaw, Nelda Lee, Martha Norman and Teresa Camp. Visitors: Chris Zern, Susan Van Matre, Jack Kinnaw, Bob Kremer and Bill Camp.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Libby Yunger at 1:35 PM following a Christmas Luncheon planned by Delia Greer at "Jimmy's On The Park" in Clayton MO.

Libby introduced our visitors and prospective members and asked each to give a little information about themselves and tell something about their flying experience.

MINUTES: the minutes from the Library meeting were not available and will be read at the next meeting. Libby discussed her talk about "99 Years of Women In Aviation” and “The History Of The Ninety Nines". She is available to give these talks and will be speaking at the EAA Christmas Party.

TREASURER'S REPORT: Treasurer, Martha Norman reported there are no changes since the last meeting. She reported there is one application for our scholarship so far this year.

OLD BUSINESS: Libby said she will not be available for meetings on Saturdays for awhile and the motion was made to plan our meetings on Sunday afternoons as needed by Mary Kinnaw and seconded by Jan Pocock and carried.. Jean will be in charge of our table at the Midwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show in January 2010 and we will have a meeting also at that time. Our February, 2010 meeting will be at Creve Coeur Airport on the 21st. We will meet at 12 noon for lunch and the meeting will follow. The painting of the compass rose is planned for May 1, 2010 at Greenville Airport. Jean Murry volunteered to chair that project.
NEW BUSINESS: Libby asked that we have library displays planned for February, July and August 2010. We will need to have a display in January at New Ballas and Indian Trails. She suggested we try some of the girls high schools librarys in the area for displays. Since there was no further business, the motion to adjourn was made by Sue Mathias and seconded by Delia Greer and carried.
The meeting adjourned at 2:15 PM.
