Revised Minutes of the May Meeting of the Greater St. Louis Ninety Nines

Present: Delia Greer, Mary Kinnaw, Sue Mathias, Jean Murry, Libby Yunger, June Tonsing
The meeting held at the Midwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show. The meeting was called to order at 3:20 by Vice Chairman, Jean Murry.

Libby Yunger announced that the Air Race Classic organization had received an application from a Chapter in California for the 2014 Air Race Classic start. Our Chapter was not really prepared to host the 2014 ARC start since Teresa Camp has relocated to Connecticut. None of our current active members has participated in the ARC, and we really don’t have any first-hand knowledge of the expectations of the racers or of the ARC organization. We also decided unanimously that we could not commit to hosting the ARC terminus in 2017, which was the next available ARC start or terminus opportunity.

There was general agreement that our focus should be on recruiting new members so that we have a future as a Chapter. June Tonsing suggested becoming involved with www.faasteamyouth.org

The sale of raffle tickets at the MACTS earned the chapter $126. Jerry Spear and Chuck Masquette won the goody baskets and Steve Bollinger won the bottle of champagne.

The meeting was adjourned 3:45 pm.
