July meeting:  July 21 at noon – Lunch at Creve Coeur Airport

Over lunch we’ll touch base on where everything is for the NCS section meeting that we are hosting in October.  With luck CAVU will prevail and there will be a lot of interesting aircraft on the field.

Please call Jean Murry at 314-469-3541 if you plan to attend so she can give an approximate headcount to the folks at Creve Coeur Airport.

Chapter News:

IT’S TIME TO RENEW CHAPTER DUES.   Chapter dues are again $10.  If you would like a paper copy of Waypoint mailed to your home, please include $10 for the Waypoint subscription.  Waypoint can be accessed electronically free of charge at the North Central Section web site:  www.ncs99s.org.  Dues should be sent to Martha Norman, 160 Cedar Lane, Ironton, MO 63650.

Ninety Nines News:
The 2013 Ninety Nines International Conference is taking place this weekend in Bozeman, Montana, July 9-14.  Minnetta Gardinier of the Iowa Chapter will vote our proxies since nobody from the chapter was able to attend.

The Ninety Nines International Board of Directors has reduced its funding of NIFA (National Intercollegiate Flying Association) to $500 this year.  In order to cover the NIFA sponsorship fee of $1500, an anonymous donor made up the difference this year.  In addition the Ninety Nines sponsors the Women’s Achievement Award at the National SAFECON each year.  In May this year, additional awards of $700, $500, and $300 were made to three deserving women.  The Board of Directors is asking the Chapters and individual Ninety Nines to consider donating to NIFA in the next fiscal year.  Checks should be made payable to the Ninety Nines, Inc. but note NIFA Donation or Women’s Achievement Award on the memo line.
