The MACTS combines the Super Safety Seminar and the Flight Instructor Revalidation Clinic and is sponsored jointly by the FAA and the Greater St. Louis Flight Instructors Association. This year we will have an informational table and will be raffling goodie basket(s) as a fund raiser. There are programs for the general aviation community on both Saturday, 15 January and Sunday, 16 January. However, we will only be manning our table on Saturday.

Chapter News:
Web Master Needed: The Chapter needs a volunteer to oversee our web site. This position requires no more than 1-2 hrs per month. You would be responsible for adding announcements, minutes and newsletters to the web site and deleting old information from the site. Please contact Jean Murry or Susan Van Matre if you are interested in helping out the Chapter.

Future Chapter Events:
February Hangar Party and Planning for the Girl Scout Event: Our February meeting will be a pot luck hangar party with a purpose at the Wings of Hope hangar at Spirit of St. Louis Airport from noon to 2 pm. The purpose of the hangar party will be to plan our Girl Scout event in March. Please plan to attend and bring your friends who are interested in helping us in March.
Girl Scout Event: Our chapter will be hosting a program for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri on Saturday, 19 March from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Wings of Hope. There will between 20-40 girls in grades 6-12 (ages 11-18). Please reserve this date for the Girl Scout program, since we will need everyone’s commitment to do this properly.

Sunday, 9 January 2011: Patrice Mullins will be the featured speaker at 11 am at the University of Missouri Extension Center, 260 Brown Rd., St. Peters, MO 63376. Her topic is “Begin with the Destination in Mind”, which is featured in her recently published book The Seven Points of Impact. A flyer with ordering information for the book is included with this Newsletter.
Saturday, 15 January 2011: Zonta Amelia Earhart Luncheon at 11 am at the Doubletree Hotel, 16625 Swingley Ridge Rd. in Chesterfield. The cost is $28. Patrice Mullins will be one of the speakers at this event and selections from Wings of Their Own, a documentary of women in aviation from Kitty Hawk to Cape Canaveral, will be shown. A flyer for this event is also attached to this Newsletter.
